Impressed by dedication

I have been impressed by the dedication of the teachers at Shapland Swim School. The small classes allow each child to get personal attention.
As we usually arrive a little before my grandson’s lesson, I have been able to observe the teachers with a class of babies. The atmosphere is calm and non- threatening. I have seen few children unhappy in the classes. Any tears have been easily turned to smiles with gentle encouragement.
I would highly recommend the school.

Teaching children to be water wise

Shapland, Everton Park employs professional, experienced and friendly swimming instructors. They focus on teaching children the correct way to swim all the strokes, and more importantly to be water-wise too. My children love the extra attention they get from being in a small class size of 3.

Fantastic guidance and reassurance

I just wanted to thankyou both for all your assistance in beginning to teach Lachlan to swim. I was a little unsure at first on his ability but with fantastic guidance and reassurance from you both he has come a long way in just a few short months. If it wasn't for us moving out to Jimboomba next month we would not have ended Lachy's lessons.

Thanks again and I would happily recommend Shapland Swim school to anyone.

Success with Shaplands

Before we found Shaplands, we previously had tried out 2 other local swim schools with no success.  My two toddler aged boys cried constantly, wouldn't settle and were showing no improvement.  I thought I was going to give up on swim classes altogether until we started at Shaplands over 12 months ago and we have been happy there since.  The teachers are patient, the atmosphere is relaxed and both are thriving swimmers now.

Shapland best by far

Both my daughters started learning to swim at Shapland Swim School Everton Park at 9 months of age. I can honestly say that the teachers are very patient, kind and extremely competent with children of all ages, babies to school age. With only 3 children per class means very focussed attention. I have spoken with many people who come to Shapland after trying other swim schools and rate Shapland the best by far.

Patient, kind and encouraging staff

Both our children have been taught swimming at  Shapland Everton Park for the past 7 yrs. Every single staff member have been amazing in their patience, kindness and encouragement. We haven't needed to look anywhere else.

Confidence quickly gained

Our daughter has gained confidence very quickly since coming to Shapland Swim School.  She adores her teacher, Robyn, who is just great with her and the other kids.  Robyn is very calm, patient and has an amazing ability to give kids the confidence they need in the pool.

Less Distractions at Shaplands

My 12 month old son has come on in leaps and bounds since starting at Shapland Swim School.  In fact he has learned more in 4 weeks at Shapland than he did after 5 months of swimming lessons somewhere else.  I feel that the small swimming group and only two classes in pool at once has made a big improvement as my son is not so distracted.  The staff at Shapland are very helpful and our swimming teacher Emma is just lovely.  She is so gentle and encouraging with my son and I'm sure that's why he has learned so much so fast.  I also appreciate how Emma knows exactly where my son is up to so we can work on things like him holding his breathe under water.  The pool itself is very clean and a pleasure to swim in.  I can't recommend Shapland Swim School high enough and most of friends have already swapped over to it.

Persistence pays off

Our son started swimming aged 2, and he was the worst kid in class when it cam to behaviour, he would run and jump in, splash everyone and generally run amok.  I considered withdrawing him but as he was such a daredevil around water we persisted, and so did his lovely teacher Robin. He slowly learnt to wait his turn and to listen.  He is now just turned five and still going to classes, and he has graduated to kickboards and goggles and swims like a fish at home. Also every class paid for itself the day he fell in the pool when he was three and he automatically swam to the side. (I was with him at the time!)

Changed to shaplands

I would like to say that since I changed my daughter over from a school that had way too many young children in their classes and way too much chlorine in their pool, she has rocketed forward in her swimming ability. Having only 3 children in each class allows for so much more focus on their style and individual abilities to develop at a much more effective pace.
My five year old daughter can swim a length of the pool confidently, dive under the water and retrieve toys and is fully capable of getting to the side of the pool and climbing out in most standard sized pools.
I have nothing but praise for the level of care, passion, dedication and commitment provided to each and every child at Shaplands. The pool is always clean, staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
My Daughter has achieved a high level of skill and enjoyment for swimming every time she visits her swimming teacher and Shaplands.
